Employment
I currently work in the Medical Device Manufacturing field. I have been employed in this field since 2013. The work I do is extremely fulfilling. Every day I put together devices that allow patients to have heart surgery and regain a better quality of life. Knowing that what I do is saving lives makes me incredibly proud to be in my line of work.
Charity Work
February is American Heart Month. Seeing as I work for Edwards Lifesciences, a company that is all about the heart, every February I participate in charity events and awareness campaigns for the American Heart Association.
At the end of every year around the holiday season instead of participating in traditional gift buying and receiving, I collect all the funds that would have been spent and donate it to charity. My typical charities are Angel Trees/Project Elf and animal shelters.

Volunteer Work
When I am able to, I spend my time in animal shelters helping out with all the "dirty work" chores (examples include: dishes, laundry, trash, supply pallet unloading, and general cleaning) so the professionals who work at the shelter have more time to give the animals the proper care they deserve.
